Electrical Design Engineer (Automation)

We're looking for a dedicated and reliable Electrical Design Engineer (Automation) to join a growing team for a market leading Automation company!

• Reporting to: Head of Department
• Location: Penang

the role

• Develops and reviews electrical designs and schematics for machinery and larger systems.
• Collaborates with other engineering teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Manages assigned tasks within budget and timeline, communicates project status, and resolves issues.
• Ensures compliance with national and international standards, as well as customer-specific requirements.
• Generates technical documentation, including BOMs, test plans, and as-built drawings.
• Provides technical guidance, training, and support to team members.

the experience

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical design within the Automation industry.
• Electrical & control system design, hands-on wiring, knowledge of electrical and control components.
